Over four-day online courses, participants will build on existing LTPBR planning, implementation, and monitoring skills. Practitioners will gain the advanced screening, planning, design, and monitoring skills to lead watershed and riverscape scope projects.
- Advance the skills to plan LTPBR restoration projects
- Use Riverscapes Studio to prepare a design report and regulatory permit application
- Learn how to monitor and assess riverscape health
- Practice advanced geospatial analysis of riverscape network models to screen, filter, contextualize, and prioritize restoration actions
These advanced courses will build on existing LTPBR education and experience, taking a deeper dive into planning, design, and adaptive management. GIS proficiency is required for all four courses. Advanced LTPBR Planning requires completion of Intro to LTPBR Planning. The other three courses require completion of Intro to LTPBR Design. Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet these prerequisites before enrolling.
Courses may be taken individually or as a full series. Each course is eligible for 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 1 graduate-level university credit.
This series is the Level III training series in the standardized Federal LTPBR training series developed with the BLM and NRCS. Federal training series participants will need to complete the Level I and Level II series prior to taking the Level III courses.
